Seeing the light

Ever been on the hunt for the perfect table lamp but failed to find it?  Mottega is a new (great) resource to get you what you want.  You pick the body (and with 9 options, that's no easy task), a base style, the color, the finial and shade then voile!... it shows up 14 days later.  By picking every element, you get to play designer.  Not a bad way to shop.

Another favorite lighting resource is Barbara Cosgrove, a Kansas City based business. She's a hoot of a lady who started it all in her garage and now it's a high flutin' operation.  Well done, Barbara!  She sells wholesale so you can't buy from her directly but her site has a store locator (or call them) to find out where to get her pretty numbers that are sold in high end shops around the country.  Barbara takes it up a notch by providing custom lampshade colors in ANY Benjamin Moore paint.  ANY.  Here's a few she showed at the NY Gift Show this week.
