Bond Style

November 9, 2012

After the last two wacky, long weeks it's Friday and another BOND movie is finally here, SKYFALL.  Between Sandy and the election, movies weren't ranking high on my to do list but as things settle down, I'm gearing up for some cheesy one liners, sweet road races and the best movie theme song.  It's been 50 years since Ian Flemming brought the world the character OO7. Personally, I'm a Sean Connery gal but Daniel Craig does a decent job.

With rave reviews, this one is suppose to knock our socks off but even if the action scenes or Bond Girls don't get you, his style should. Bond has the modern style of Tom Ford with the timelessness of Cary Grant.   Sigh. Does it get any better??

Here are some things I think James would have in his NYC pied-a-terre were he crashed between getting bad guys and attending lavish parties.

FLAIR NEW YORK
Drinks Table is a must for Bond what with his penchant for dry martinis and all.  FLAIR NEW YORK  exclusive brass tray table with X base,  $2150.

DWR

Slinky yet masculine, Paulistano Armchair in leather is as cool as Bond himself.
Design within Reach, $1555.

Kelly Wearstler

Even the name of this table sounds Bond-ish-Smoked Cracked Glass Table.  It's where he put up his custom made Italian shoes after a hard day's work.  Price Available Upon Request.

Cooper Hewitt Shop

This cool Danish marble bowl was originally made in 1963 as an ashtray but in this age of no smoking, perhaps Mr. Bond puts out nuts for guests or keeps his keys to his smokin' car in it. You decide.    Copper Hewitt Shop, PK bowl, $329.
Neiman Marcus

Being a metrosexual,  James keeps handy his favorite Tuscan Leather Tom Ford candle to create instant romance for those pesky Bond Girls who keep showing up.  Neiman Marcus, $85.

Copper Hewitt Shop

And of course he has a cool match stash so he can light up with uptown aplomb.   Cooper Hewitt Shop, Matchsafe,  $40.

Live Large with tons of Bond Style,
Frances
