Ode to Donna Hay

Donna Hay, Australia's Martha Stewart, has just launched her website.  You'd be hard pressed to find any food stylist that doesn't have all her amazing books on their bookshelves. And don't get me started on her magazines.  Way before Real Simple came out, she created simple ideas in clever ways that made paying $8 per issue worth it.

Here's a few of my favorite images.

LOVE her star topped pie. So fun.. yet elegant.  She uses stars a lot in her food styling and somehow it just flat works.

She started the whole "everyone gets their own"craze.   Who wouldn't want their own antipasta plate or DIY hot chocolate bar right in their own lap??

So clever yet now so copied, she also has been using craft paper forever. Love this simple yet cool "placemat".  Perfect for low country shrimp boil dinners.
